Yellow Bells, Wild Onions & Sheds: Mountain Foraging

VLOG SPRING 2024 | The mountains in Montana produce a lot of wild edible plants. Once spring comes around wild flowers carpet the alpine meadows and forests. This is a great time to go foraging. Many of these wild flowers are an amazing food source that are just waiting to be discovered. In this video, we go out on a shed (antler) finding trip and also look for the elusive yellow bell (Fritillaria pudica) flower, which is a new one for us. We also visit our wild onion patch to see how they are doing in 2024. The area we visit in this video is one we go to year after year to look for sheds and forage for wild plants and mushrooms.
